Tahniah diucapkan pada anda yang layak mengikuti program pengajian perubatan, bukan senang hendak melepasi syarat kelayakan tersebut (Hendak semak syarat kelayakan bidang perubatan KLIK DISINI). Bagi anda yang sudah pun melanjutkan pengajian dalam bidang perubatan, satu lagi langkah terakhir yang perlu anda lakukan iaitu menyemak kelayakan perubatan yang bakal diperolehi kelak. Jangan sudah tamat pengajian meroyan bila kelayakan tidak diiktiraf.

Memang tidak dinafikan bahawa banyak institusi dalam dan luar negara yang tawarkan kursus dalam bidang perubatan ini. Maklumkan kerjaya impian kebanyakan pelajar bahkan ibu bapa mereka. Tetapi disebabkan kuota terhad di UA tempatan dalam negara mahu pun luar negara maka kursus ini turut ditawarkan di IPTS. Jika di UA tidaklah terlalu bimbang kerana kita tahu kelayakannya tidak perlu lagi diragui tetapi bagaimana jika di IPTS? Sudahkan anda menyemak?

Semakan boleh dibuat dibawah MMC iaitu Malaysia Medical Council atau Lembaga Perubatan Malaysia. Pihak MMC bertanggungjawab dalam melindungi, mempromosi, mengekalkan kesihatan dan keselamatan orang ramai melalui amalan perubatan. Selain melindungi orang ramai, MMC juga bertanggungjawab menguruskan hal berkaitan dengan pengamal perubatan seperti berikut :

• Mendaftar individu yang layak menjadi doktor
• Menetapkan dan mengisytiharkan apa sahaja polisi/dasar berkaitan dengan amalan perubatan
• Menggalakkan dan mengekalkan standard pendidikan tinggi dalam bidang perubatan
• Memantau cara kerja doktor dengan teliti dan tegas supaya mereka tidak melanggar etika amalan perubatan yang ditetapkan
